Court-Involved Parent-Child Reunification, Parent Coaching, and Co-Parenting Services

Families involved in separation, divorce, or family court proceedings often face significant challenges that can strain parent-child relationships and increase conflict within the family system. I provide court-ordered and court-involved therapeutic services, including parent-child reunification work, parent coaching, co-parenting support, and family therapy designed to strengthen relationships and promote healthy child development.

My approach is grounded in attachment theory, child development, and a child-centered framework. Regardless of the circumstances that bring a family to treatment, my primary focus is always the emotional well-being of the child and supporting healthy, secure relationships between children and their caregivers whenever possible and appropriate.

Parent-child reunification work focuses on helping repair, strengthen, and rebuild relationships that have become strained, disrupted, or disconnected. This process often involves helping children and parents develop healthier patterns of communication, increase emotional safety, address misunderstandings, and gradually rebuild trust and connection.

I also provide parent coaching to help caregivers better understand their child's developmental, emotional, and psychological needs. Parent coaching may focus on strengthening parenting skills, improving communication, managing conflict, supporting emotional regulation, and creating conditions that promote healthy attachment and resilience.

For separated or divorced parents, co-parenting work is often an important component of treatment. Effective co-parenting is not about eliminating all disagreements; rather, it involves learning how to reduce conflict, improve communication, maintain appropriate boundaries, and keep children's needs at the center of decision-making. Children generally do best when they are shielded from adult conflict and supported by caregivers who can work together in ways that prioritize their emotional well-being.

I strive to help families move away from patterns of blame, defensiveness, and conflict and toward greater cooperation, understanding, and child-focused problem solving. My goal is to help children maintain healthy relationships with their parents whenever possible and to support families in creating a more stable, emotionally healthy environment in which children can thrive.

Please note that I am a treating therapist and not a custody evaluator, mediator, parenting coordinator, or family law attorney. I do not make custody recommendations or provide legal advice. My role is to provide therapeutic services that support the psychological health, developmental needs, and relational well-being of children, parents, and families.
